About the Chancellery
The Chancellery is comprised of the following offices:
The Chancellor is an ex officio member of Council, who acts as Chairperson
and presides at all Council meetings. The Chancellor is appointed for
a five year term.
The Chancellor is also involved in various University committees and
presides at University graduation ceremonies.
The current Chancellor of QUT is Major General Peter Arnison (Retd) AC CVO. A former Governor of Queensland, Major General Arnison commenced in this role on 9 September 2004.
The Chancellor is located on Level 2 of U Block at the Gardens Point
